Announcing New Works from Our Camp Directors
As we step into the new year, I want to take a moment to reconnect and share some exciting updates! Ballibay has always been a space flourishing with creativity, and this year is no exception.
Camp Directors, Kristin Alexander and Sarah Galante
This year, we are thrilled to share exciting news about our Camp Directors, Kristin Alexander and Sarah Galante, as they both premiere inspiring new works this month. Moments like this remind me how lucky we are to have them leading our community.
The 4th Wall: Annex Dance Company
Kristin Alexander
Kristin, Artistic Director of Annex Dance Company in Charleston, SC, continues to make waves in the modern dance world with the premiere of Annex Dance Company's latest work, The 4th Wall. An exciting venture for the company, this project brings together live dance, film projection, a specially composed soundscape, and audience participation to blur the boundaries between performer and spectator. Developed in collaboration with Marcus Amaker and Maggie M. Bailey, The 4th Wall pushes the limits of collaborative art-making and redefines what can be experienced in a traditional performance space.
If you are in the Charleston area, I highly encourage you to support Kristin, Taylor Bennett (Head of Dance), Jordan Giancursio (Dance Counselor), Aidan Wunderley (Stage Manager), and the Annex Dance Company!

Swallow Me Whole at The Tank NYC
Sarah Galante
We could not be more excited for Sarah's new play, Swallow Me Whole, to debut at The Tank in New York City! After a successful workshop at Ballibay last August, the show has evolved into a full production, and we couldn't be prouder. To top it off, Ballibay staff members, Alex Bernui Galante and Cat Champlin have also been working as the Assistant Director and Stage Manager. We love seeing the Ballibay community come together and collaborate during the off-season!
Tickets are selling quickly, so I highly encourage you to purchase them soon! If you are in the NYC area, I hope to see you there.
